MEDIA ADVISORY: 6th MISB (A) change of command ceremony set for June 28

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, May 29, 2013) - The 6th Military Information Support Battalion (Airborne) will hold a change of command ceremony June 28, 2013, with Lt. Col. Bethany Aragon assuming command from Lt. Col. James R. Hickman. The ceremony will take place at Meadows Field Plaza adjacent to U.S. Army Special Operations Command Headquarters on Fort Bragg at 8:30 a.m.

Aragon is taking command following an assignment at the United States Special Operations Command.

Hickman has been the Commander of the 6th Military Information Support Battalion (Airborne) since June 2011.  His follow-on assignment is still pending.

Host for the ceremony is Col. Reginald J. Bostick, Commander 4th Military Information Support Group (Airborne).

Members of the media who wish to cover the ceremony must register with USASOC PAO by June 27 before 3 p.m.

Please provide the number of news team members, video/still photographers, live trucks and other special equipment you plan to bring to the ceremony. Media planning live coverage during or after the program must provide that information to USASOC PAO when responding to this invitation. Special needs or interview requests should be submitted at this time as well. Media should provide after-hours contact information to include email address, so we may inform you of changes.

USASOC PAO will meet media at Stryker Golf Course on Bragg Boulevard by 6:30 a.m., Jun 28. The media convoy will depart Stryker no later than 7 a.m. due to the heavy traffic associated with that time of the day. USASOC PAO will escort live trucks in that convoy. If live trucks require earlier arrival, please coordinate with USASOC PAO no later than June 27 before 2 p.m.
