MEDIA ADVISORY: 3rd SFG (A) holds Memorial Walk Dedication

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, May 21, 2013) –The 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) will honor 3rd SFG (A) Soldiers killed while supporting combat operations during the past year in a ceremony May 22 at 2 p.m. at the 3rd SFG (A) Memorial Walk adjacent to the Group headquarters building.
3rd SFG (A) deputy commander, Col. Heinz P. Dinter, will host the ceremony, paying tribute to the eight 3rd SFG (A) Soldiers who have been killed while serving in combat.
FOR THE MEDIA: Media wishing to cover the run must contact the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Public Affairs Office at (910) 432-7589 or the USASOC Public Affairs Office at (910) 432-6005. Media should provide after-hours contact information, to include e-mail addresses, so we may keep you advised of any changes to the program schedule.
Members of the media who wish to cover the ceremony must register with the PAO by May 21 before 4 p.m. Please provide the number of news team members, video/still photographers, live trucks and other special equipment you plan to bring to the ceremony. Media planning live coverage during or after the program must provide the information to the PAO when responding to this invitation. Special needs or interview requests should be submitted as well.
Media should meet the PAO at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 22 at Stryker Golf Course on Bragg Boulevard. The media convoy will depart Stryker no later than 12:45 p.m.
