MEDIA ALERT: Army Special Operations Command to remember fallen Soldiers May 23

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, May 20, 2013) – The U.S. Army Special Operations Command will honor Special Operations Soldiers killed while supporting combat operations during the past year in a ceremony May 23 at 2 p.m. at the Fallen Special Operations Soldiers Memorial Wall adjacent to the USASOC headquarters building.
USASOC commanding general Lt. Gen. Charles T. Cleveland, will add the Soldiers' names to the wall, paying tribute to them, and more than 300 Army Special Operations Forces Soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defending the United States in the war against terrorism.
Hundreds of family members, friends and special guests of those fallen Soldiers from many hometowns across the country are expected to attend.
After the Memorial Wall is unveiled, the names of those who died during current combat operations will be read. They are (please click on name for bio):

Members of the media who wish to cover the ceremony must register with USASOC PAO by May 21 before 4 p.m.
Please provide the number of news team members, video/still photographers, live trucks and other special equipment you plan to bring to the ceremony. Media planning live coverage during or after the program must provide that information to USASOC PAO when responding to this invitation. Special needs or interview requests should be submitted at this time as well. Media should provide after-hours contact information to include email address, so we may inform you of changes.
USASOC PAO will meet registered media at Stryker Golf Course on Bragg Boulevard by 12:30 p.m., May 23. Media who are not registered, will not be granted access.The media convoy will depart Stryker no later than 12:45 p.m. due to the heavy traffic associated with that time of the day. USASOC PAO will escort live trucks in that convoy. If live trucks require earlier arrival, please coordinate with USASOC PAO no later than May 22 before 4 p.m.
