PRESS RELEASE: SF Soldier killed in Afghanistan

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, Apr. 27, 2012) – A U.S. Special Forces Soldier was killed when his mobility platform struck an improvised explosive device during a patrol April 26, in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan.

Staff Sgt. Brandon Forrest Eggleston, 29, was assigned to Company B, 4th Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) headquartered at Fort Bragg, N.C.  He was a Special Forces communications sergeant.
This was Eggleston’s third deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan and other overseas contingency operations.   

Eggleston is survived by his wife and their two daughters.
