PRESS RELEASE: SF Soldier dies from wounds sustained in Afghanistan

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, Aug. 10, 2012) – A U.S. Special Forces Soldier died Aug. 8 from wounds sustained July 31 from small-arms fire in Shindand Province, Afghanistan.
Master Sgt. Gregory R. Trent, 38, was assigned to Company B, 4th Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) headquartered at Fort Bragg, N.C. He was a Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant.
This was Trent's fourth deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was also a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Trent is survived by his wife, daughter, parents and brother.
