MEDIA ADVISORY: 4th MISG(A) change of command ceremony
FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, July 29, 2011) – The 4th Military Information Support Group (Airborne) will hold a change of command ceremony Aug. 3, 9 a.m., on Meadows Field at the U.S. Army Special Operations Command headquarters.
Col. Carl Phillips will relinquish command to Col. Reginald Bostick in a traditional Army ceremony.
Bostick is taking command following an assignment as an Army War College Fellow at the Institute of World Politics.
Phillips has been the commander of the 4th Group since July 2009 and is taking an assignment with the U.S. Special Operations Command in Tampa, Fla.
Host for the ceremony is Lt. Gen. John F. Mulholland Jr., Commanding General of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command.
FOR THE MEDIA: Media wishing to cover the ceremony must contact the 4th MISG(A) Public Affairs Office at (910) 907-4113 by Tuesday, Aug. 2, 3 p.m. Media should provide after-hours contact information, to include e-mail addresses in case of any changes to the program schedule.
Please provide the number of news team members, video/still photographers, live-feed trucks and other special equipment you plan to bring to the ceremony. Special needs or interview requests should be submitted at this time as well.
Media should meet representatives from the 4th MISG(A) PAO office at 8. a.m. on Wednesday at the Yadkin Street entry control point parking lot (old Class VI and gas station). The media convoy will depart no later than 8:15 a.m.
